Girls in the Wild Programs
|
Star Light
The Starlight program for 11-12 year old girls is both an adventure program and a learning program. The learning components focus on: managing changing friendships; understanding their bodies, learning how to be (or continue to be) assertive rather than passive; and recognizing their strengths.
"You get to meet new girls who know exactly what you're going through. It's really fun! You learn lots of things and have new experiences. It's an adventure. It's a really cool and open environment."

Moonlight:
The Moonlight program for 13-14 year old girls is both an adventure program and a learning program. The learning components focus on: beauty & body image; gossip and peer pressure; building self-defense skills; and increased understanding of their bodies.
“It’s an excellent program because you really learn about yourself and other people, and you learn about things that most adults and schools don’t talk about. It focuses on women in general, and being a woman is so criticized and private, so this was great!”

Sunlight:
The Sunlight program for 15-18 year old girls is both an adventure program and a learning program. The learning components focus on: increased self-defense skills; leadership; gender equality; sexuality; and independence.
"It is truly a gift to be provided with a kind of atmosphere [where I could] reflect on past experiences, future goals, and to think about myself in a holistic approach. During the program, I was able to take a balanced look at myself and learn to appreciate myself for who I am. My wish for every girl out there is that they could be granted an experience like this."
